Sound quality on DAB is surprisingly good for a small radio, dare I say better than the far more expensive P*re clock radio it has replaced. (To get them back, I'd turn up the volume on my Roberts radio.but it's not that loud.boo!)If you remember the agony of setting up video and DVD players in the 1980s and 1990s, you'll have to read the instructions a few times before you can assess all the functions. It has a handy dimming feature, so you don't get dazzled by the digital display when you look to check the time that your neighbours are blasting loud music. In any event I don't need a musical step-up now that I can buy my own cookies. Quality is comparable to any similar device gone are the days of standing on traditional Roberts wirelesses in the kitchen to retrieve the cookie tin that your mother used to hide on the top shelf.
